This Special Section is for the under 16's.

The Young Travellers is a section within the club that focuses entirely on the efforts of our child members. Very often this group is overlooked in many clubs, but as Dr. Who was, and still is a children's Sci-Fi series that adults have become interested in, we thought we would recognise the efforts of our Younger Members. To qualify here you must be under 16 years of age and you must have made a large contribution to the well being of the club and to a costume or prop construction. All child members are eligible to join, all it takes is a photogragh of you with your costume or prop.

SO COME GET CRACKING AND LETS HAVE THOSE PICTURES FOR OUR GALLERY.

We would love to be able to add your picture here too.

  This is Kyle with Kalrack.

Kyle and his dad spent 2 years building
Kalrack. He was 9 years old when they
started the project.

Kalrack is at present undergoing some
modifications to make him even more
authentic.
This is Eloise, and she was 8 years
old when she joined.

Eloise is dressed as a slave child from
The Next Doctor, (Mercy Hartigan,
Rise of the Cyber-King, Christmas
1851).

Photo will follow shortly
This is Tammy and she was 9 years old
when she joined us.

The Empty Child
Ninth episode, series one 2005.

For Tammy, we looked a lot of Dr Who
episodes to find a little girl character
and found the respirator child in series
one, Christopher Eccleston episode, The
Empty Child. London, 1941, at the
height of the Blitz. Children, living on
the bombsites, are being terrorised by
an unearthly child.
It was quite easy to create as we
already had a gas mask from Steve's work, we just had to find 1940's period clothes and make a repirator box that
all children carried around with them.

Being one of our youngest members at
present in our costume gang she enjoys
her time in the public eye, and with
this most effective costume, you can
see why.
Well done, Tammy!
UNIT Trooper

UNIT (Unified Intelligence Taskforce).

Formerly, United Nations Intelligence
Taskforce, operates under the
auspicesof the United Nations, it's
purpose is to investigate and combate
paranormal and extra-terrestrial
threats to the Earth.

WEEPING ANGELS
BLINK
Tenth episode of the third series.

Weeping Angels are a group of hunters.
Because their physiology is quantum-
locked, they only occupy a single
position in space when seen by an
observer they cannot move.
When they
are not observed they become a
"quantum wave form " that occupies
many positions in space so they appear
to travel exceedingly quickly.
They use
this ability to approach and attack unwary
prey.
While in their locked state they
appear as stone statues " you can't kill a
stone", often covering their eyes so that
they will not see each other and lock
themselves forever in stone form. This is
what gave them the name "Weeping
Angels".
Eventually the four Angels,
having surrounded the TARDIS, are
tricked into looking at each other when
the box disappears, leaving them
deadlocked in their stone forms.
VASHTNA NERADA
SILENCE IN THE LIBRARY
Eighth episode of the forth series 2008

Vashta Nerada (literally: the shadows
that melt the flesh) are microscopic
swarm creatures.
They are described as the 'piranhas
of the air', and are able to strip their
victims to the bone in an instant in
high enough densities. In the Library
there was an unusually high
concerntration of Vashta Nerada
which completely over ran the 51st
century Library. We can not claim to
have the same effect, but Kyle's
authentic reproduction causes a stir
especially when people are told that
the helmet is an actual Russian
Cosmonaughts space helmet, found
in the Afghan desert by Kyle's dad
Steve, while on active Military service.
Klye loves to scare people when out,
at shows in this suit.
SIBYLLINE SISTER
The Fires of Pompeii
The second episode of the fourth series

The Sibylline Sisterhood were in Pompeii
in 79 AD. They had eyes painted on the
back of her hands - as signs of
soothsayers who fore-tell of the future.
The Sisterhood saw the TARDIS or "Blue
Box" in a prophecy.
They had psychic powers due to breathing
in dust from Mount Vesuvius.
The Pyroviles an alien race are using the
volcano and the Sibylline Sisterhood to
convert humans to Pyroviles. They use the
Sisterhood, which incorporates a high
priestess
and her sisters, to make
prophecies while slowly converting them
to stone and taking over them.
CYBER QUEEN
The Next Doctor
December 2008 the fourth Christmas
special with David Tennant.

Miss Mercy Hartigan is betrayed by the
Cyber-Leader and 'converted' to the
Cyber-Queen. She proves too
powerful to control, and uses her
powers to destroy the CyberLeader.
She then uses the Cyber-King, a giant
Cyberman-shaped robot ship to begin
to lay waste to London. The Doctor
then uses the dimension vault to
transport it and the Cyber-Queen into
the Time Vortex.

MADAME DE POMPADOUR

"The Girl in the Fireplace" is the fourth
episode of the second series. It was first
broadcast on 6 May 2006, Sophia Myles
guest-starred as the historical figure
Madame de Pompadour. The episode
takes place in multiple time periods as
the Tenth Doctor and characters Rose
and Mickey find time windows leading
to 18th Century France and a group of
clockwork androids using them to stalk
Madame de Pompadour throughout her
life.
